Raegan was commissioned in 2018 to write a rap song for No Barriers, to sum up their mission, hype up the crowd and motivate their amazing members on their hikes up Everest! The song was a hit when Raegan performed at the 2018 Summit Opening Show on The Intrepid in NYC, and later at Central Park Summer Stage opening for Ice T, Judah & The Lion and Mandy Harvey.
Co-founded by Erik Weihenmayer, the first blind person to reach the summit of Mt. Everest, the mission of No Barriers is to fully unleash the potential of the human spirit. Through transformative experiences, tools and inspiration, they help people embark on a quest to contribute their absolute best to the world. Working with veterans, people with disabilities and young people, they foster a community of curious, brave and collaborative explorers determined to live the ‘No Barriers Life’.
Philadelphia Soul Owner, Cosmo DeNicola, commissioned Raegan in 2017 to write a rap song about what it really means to be a ‘champion’, after the team won the championships. The resulting piece was performed at the half-time show at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia to 10,000 people. Raegan also opened the game with the Star Spangled Banner.
Cosmo DeNicola Companies is a privately held holding company with a diverse portfolio of businesses ranging from healthcare, technology, publishing, professional sports, and entertainment. The firm is based in Philadelphia, PA and led by serial entrepreneur, Cosmo DeNicola.
In 2016, US-UK Fulbright Commissioner Jennifer Diamond charged Raegan with the task of creating a spoken word piece to be performed at the inaugural US-UK Fulbright Alumni Reception in New York City, closing a panel event with Michael Bloomberg and Dr Richard Haass. Raegan also introduced Mr Bloomberg and Dr Haass. A video was filmed for the poem and released in 2017. It went on to become Raegan’s most requested piece at conferences and events.
The Fulbright Program is one of the most prestigious scholarship programs in the world. 59 Fulbright alumni have won Nobel Prizes; 82 have won Pulitzer Prizes. Raegan was the recipient of a Fulbright Award in 2015, with it she obtained an MFA in Creative Writing, with a focus on Poetry, from The New School for Public Engagement in New York City.
In 2016, Tiffany Dufu commissioned Raegan to write a poem in the spirit of her new book, Drop The Ball. The poem was performed at public and private book launches with Tiffany and a video was created by Unlikely Media.
